PEIP Group Medicare Plan Options for Retirees
Who's Eligible?
Retirees (and their spouses) from public sector employers—excluding State of Minnesota retirees—may enroll in the PEIP Group Retiree Medical Program once they turn age 65 or become eligible for Medicare (per Minnesota Statute 471.61).
To enroll, retirees must be enrolled in both Medicare Part A and Part B. There is no medical exam or health questionnaire required.
You can choose from plan options offered by HealthPartners or Blue Cross Blue Shield. Availability of Medicare Advantage and Cost Plans may vary depending on the county where you live.
When Can You Enroll?
The annual enrollment period takes place each fall, from October 15 through December 31, with coverage beginning January 1st.
